The second lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Samira Bawumia has graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Law Degree.
The wife of Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia made the announcement on social media on Tuesday after graduating from the UK-based university.
She took the opportunity to express appreciation to her family and friends who supported and encouraged her throughout the journey.
She further revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic also posed a serious challenge in the process but thankfully she was able to sail through.
Taking to social media to post some images of herself in her graduation gown he added that the journey has been an incredible one considering the fact that she had to juggle between work and studies.
“A few years ago, with support and encouragement from family and friends, I took advantage of the Distance (Online) Law Degree Program offered by the University of London. Thankfully, I had the honor of graduating with a Bachelor of Laws degree, last week, in spite of the numerous challenges Covid-19 presented,” the Second lady wrote.
She added that “it has been an incredible journey of learning while juggling work, family, and official duties. Let’s be inspired to pursue our dreams irrespective of the challenges we’re faced with.”
