A 37-year-old security man has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Bekwai Circuit Court in the Ashanti Region for defiling an 8-year-old girl at Anyinam near Ahenema Kokoben.
According to the prosecution, on June 27, 2026, the accused, Mohammed Abubakari, AKA Wofa Abu, lured the victim and her friend into his security post under the pretext of sending them on an errand.
He is said to have sexually assàulted the 8-year-old in a kitchen after sending her friend on an errand.
A medical report confirmed that the hymen of the victim had been ruptured.
The presiding judge, His Honor Issac Appiatu therefore sentenced Mohammed Abubakari to 15 years in prison with hard labour.
