The Sentuo Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service by donating a massive consignment of relief items to support victims of Ghana’s devastating June 29, 2026 floods.
The donation, presented at Jubilee House through the Office of the President, includes 140 metric tonnes of rice and sugar, alongside essential food and relief supplies aimed at helping thousands of families rebuild their lives after the disaster.
According to the Foundation, the humanitarian package comprises 4,000 bags of 25-kilogram rice (100 metric tonnes), 800 bags of 50-kilogram sugar (40 metric tonnes), 400 boxes of granular maize, 4,000 bags of sachet water, 1,000 pairs of Wellington boots, 1,000 mosquito nets, 500 cartons of Abena Sunflower Oil, and 300 cartons of Cindy Sardines.
The intervention comes at a critical time as many flood-affected communities continue to grapple with displacement, damaged homes, loss of livelihoods, and limited access to food and safe drinking water.
The donated food items are expected to provide immediate nutritional support, while the sachet water will help meet urgent hydration needs. The mosquito nets and Wellington boots will also offer protection against mosquito-borne diseases and hazardous conditions often associated with flooding.
Receiving the items on behalf of the government were Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah, Legal Adviser to the President Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew, and Presidential Adviser Nana Yaa Jantuah, who commended the Foundation for its timely intervention and support for the national relief effort.
The Sentuo Foundation delegation was led by Group Chairman Ningquan Xu, accompanied by Head of Operations Eric Lin, Jiang Wenjie, President for International Business and Coordination Samson Deen, and other senior officials of the organization.
The Foundation emphasized that the donation represents more than corporate philanthropy—it reflects a deep commitment to standing with vulnerable communities during moments of national hardship.
By channeling the relief through the Office of the President, the Foundation said it seeks to ensure that the assistance is distributed through established government structures, enabling the supplies to reach the people and communities most in need.
Beyond the impressive scale of the donation, the Foundation noted that effective disaster response depends on transparency, accountability, and collaboration among government institutions, the private sector, humanitarian organizations, and citizens.
The presentation at Jubilee House served as a powerful demonstration of national solidarity, highlighting the important role responsible corporate organizations can play in complementing government efforts during emergencies.
