A 17-year-old student of St. Joseph Technical Institute in Kwahu Tafo has died after he was allegedly stabbed in the neck by a close friend during a fight over money.
Kwasi Awuah Gorman was with four friends when the disagreement erupted. According to an eyewitness, what began as a heated argument over money suddenly turned violent.
“All we heard was Kwasi shouting that he had been stabbed. He was holding his neck and bleeding. It all happened so fast.” The witness said
The suspect, identified as Stephen Opuni and known among peers as “Sugar,” is said to have used a sharp object to stab Kwasi in the neck. The young student collapsed shortly after and could not be saved.
Police in Kwahu Tafo responded swiftly to the incident and arrested the suspect at the scene. He is currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
