Shatta Wale has opened up about a strange and, in his view, spiritual encounter that he says profoundly changed his perspective on life.
The award‑winning dancehall artist claims a woman delivered a message to him at a traffic light and then disappeared without a trace.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Shatta Wale, leader of the SM Movement, recounted how he was driving at night to visit his father when he stopped at a traffic light and noticed a woman he later believed to be spiritually significant.
He admitted that at first he thought she might be mentally unstable. He explained that the woman suddenly spoke to him as he waited for the light to change.
Surprised and unsettled, Shatta Wale reached into his bag and offered her GH¢500, but she reportedly refused the money, saying she had a different reason for approaching him.
Moments later, the traffic light turned green and he drove off only to realize shortly afterwards that the woman had vanished completely. The musician said the episode left a deep impression on him, reshaping how he treats vulnerable people.
He also suggested this was not his first such experience, recalling a spiritual warning he believes he received years earlier when he still performed under the name Bandana.
