Shatta Wale to release ‘GoG’ album on Oct 17

Dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior announced on Thursday his plans to release his new album “Gift of God” on his birthday — October 17.

Known in the showbiz fraternity as Shatta Wale told Paul Adom-Otchere when he appeared on the Good Evening Ghana show that there will be no event to climax its release.

“Gift of God, I’m dropping it [the album] on 17th October, my birthday. I am not doing any event on that day because I was supposed to meet some… a distribution label to distribute my album,” Shatta Wale disclosed on Metro TV’s flagship current affairs program.

“It is a whole album packaged towards our current living,” the musician said, explaining the album is about “Afrobeats, Dancehall, and anything that goes.”

“It’s a sweet danceable melody for the girls,” he added.

Detailing his release plans for the much-anticipated album, the head honcho of the Shatta Movement Empire intimated he will adopt the serialization method.

Originally, the “Gift of God” album was scheduled to be released in 2020 but was postponed due to the novel coronavirus disease which caused a global scourge.

The dancehall artiste stated that the decision taken was a result of the “heavy toll” the coronavirus pandemic has taken on his team and the human race in general.
