The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Manager, Sheikh Tophic Abdul-Kadir Sienu, has expressed confidence in the potential of the Black Starlets, even after a frustrating start at the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026.
Ghana’s youth side appeared to be cruising to victory, taking a commanding two-goal lead against Algeria in their opening Group D match.
However, the team was forced to settle for a 2-2 draw after surrendering their advantage late in the game.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sportstiger on Original TV, Sheikh Sienu emphasized the importance of patience and continued support from Ghanaians.
“I believe the future of these Black Starlets is very bright, and Ghanaians should remain patient and continue supporting the team,” he said.
