The Students Loan Trust Fund [SLTF] has postponed the official launch of its 20th anniversary celebrations, citing the ongoing ban on noise making and drumming during the Ga traditional festival period.
The event had been scheduled for Friday 8th May 2026. In a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday, the Fund said the decision was taken out of respect for local customs and traditions.
The institution said it remained committed to conducting its activities in harmony with community observances.
It added that a new date for the launch and a planned commemorative concert would be announced later.
Organisers have also extended the deadline for entries to the SLTF at 20 song competition. Participants will now have until Tuesday 19th May 2026 to submit their work.
The Fund also noted that the extension was intended to give contestants more time to prepare quality submissions.
It thanked stakeholders and the public for their understanding and continued support.
