The Supreme Court has declared that Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin’s announcement of four parliamentary seats as vacant is unconstitutional.
In a 5-2 decision on Tuesday, November 12, the Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, announced that the Speaker erred in his interpretation of Article 97 (1)(g) of the Constitution.
