Stanbic Bank team brings water relief to Teshie Children’s Home

The Compliance and Forensics team of Stanbic Bank Ghana has brought lasting relief to the Teshie Children’s Home with the donation of a 10,000-litre polytank to improve the home’s access to clean water.

The visit, which combined work and compassion, saw the team trade their usual spreadsheets for a day spent with the children and staff of the home. Alongside the polytank, they also donated stationery, tissue paper, biscuits, and drinks to support the children’s daily needs.

Akosua Yelbert, Head of Compliance at Stanbic Bank, described the experience as humbling. “In a place where every resource counts, water security is vital. We are proud of the team’s collective effort to support the well-being of the children and staff,” she said.

She added that spending time with the children was a reminder of the importance of community and shared responsibility.

The Teshie Children’s Home, which cares for dozens of children, has long faced challenges with water supply, making the donation a timely and valuable contribution.
