A susu collector, Martha Nana Esi Afful, has appeared before a court for allegedly absconding with GH¢156,455 belonging to 35 members of a susu group.
Martha is accused of collecting regular contributions from members between 2023 and December 2025 before allegedly going into hiding.
The members reportedly became concerned after they were unable to reach her and alleged that their accumulated savings had not been accounted for.
She was subsequently arrested and brought before the court to answer to allegations surrounding the missing funds.
The case is expected to continue as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged disappearance of the money and the claims made by the affected members.
