This year’s SWAG Awards promises to be a spectacular celebration, highlighted by the attendance of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
The ceremony will feature electrifying performances from top musicians, including Fameye, Stonebwoy, and Kwabena Kwabena, alongside appearances from world football stars.
As SWAG marks its 50th anniversary, the event will honor the greatest sports journalist of the past five decades and recognize 50 outstanding individuals for their remarkable contributions to sports. Ghanaian legends such as Michael Essien, the country’s most capped English Premier League player, and boxing icon Azumah Nelson will also be celebrated.
Female sports icons, including Adjoa Bayor and Memunatu, will receive special recognition for their achievements, while exceptional performances from 2025 will be highlighted. The prestigious Personality Award will go to the University of Development Studies (UDS) team for their triumph at the World University Football Championship.
Top honors will be reserved for all-time greats, with special awards presented to those who have proudly represented Ghana on the global stage. Charles Osei Asibey, General Secretary of SWAG and President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, will oversee this landmark celebration of Ghanaian sports excellence.
