The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) celebrated sports excellence on Friday, January 24, 2025, during the 49th SWAG Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Abdul Aziz Issah, former Dreams FC player and current Barcelona B forward, was honored as both Male Player of the Year and Prospect of the Year.
Desmond Ofei, who guided the Black Satellites to gold at last year’s All Africa Games in Ghana and secured a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after finishing second in the WAFU Zone B Championship was named Coach of the Year.
High jumper Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah was recognized as Sports Personality of the Year, while Mukarama Abdulai of Hasaacas Ladies claimed the Female Footballer of the Year award, among other honorees.
