Sylvester Tetteh applauds Kwakye Ofosu for his victory in NDC primaries

Member of Parliament for the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom, Sylvester Tetteh, has commended the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Abura Asebu-Kwamankese constituency, Felix Kwakye Ofosu for his resounding victory in the just-ended primaries.

Mr. Tetteh stated that he anticipated the victory of the NDC stalwart and it did not come as a surprise knowing well the hard work he had put in.

He added that Mr. Kwakye had the trust of the delegates which also gave the assuring victory.

Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on Tuesday, 16th May 2023, the Ngleshie Amanfrom MP indicated that giving an assurance of being competent and up to task usually will have delegates voting for you.

“I know he has what it takes to win the primaries, especially, delegates in our internal primaries, they know who can do the job for them best. Having come so close in the last elections, it will make no sense for delegates to bring a new person, at least he’s sold himself to the general public, and so delegates were looking for someone to clinch a deal for them.”

Sylvester Tetteh also sent warm congratulations to the Ningo-Prampram MP, Samuel Nartey George, and also commended the defeated aspirant for accepting the outcome and throwing his weight against the outspoken MP.

“Two brothers locking horns in Ningo-Prampram, I only said a prayer for them that at the end of the day, there should be peace. Whether left or right, it comes home. But I am happy, yesterday on Asempa FM, Michael Kwetey Tetteh released a statement, conceding defeat and victory to Sam George, pledging his support for him.”

Mr. Tetteh stressed that although the outcome of the general elections looks murky, the outcome of the elections must be taken in good faith and be seen as a chance to deepen democracy in the country.

“I made one statement, that in the interest of the development of Ningo-Prampram, and for the teaming youth in that constituency, I cannot predict the elections, the victor, for the general elections as anything can happen, however, the outcome of the elections, it is about the constituency, the generality and deepen democracy in our country.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Tetteh has wished the Abura Asebu- Kwamankese MP aspirant a massive fail in the general elections.

He emphasized that the New Patriotic Party deserves at least one more win in that constituency.
