Tabitha Ayillah challenges OSP’s findings on Airbus scandal

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Communications member, Tabitha Ayillah, has expressed reservations about the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) conclusion on the Airbus scandal investigation.

Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on Monday, August 12, Ms. Ayillah attributed the OSP’s findings to limited knowledge.

“The OSP’s conclusion was based on insufficient evidence… They didn’t have access to all the evidence compiled by the US and UK courts,” she told Annie Afua Ampofo.

Tabitha Ayillah suggested the OSP’s decision to exonerate former President John Mahama was due to limited information:

“The Special Prosecutor had to exonerate Mahama based on the limited knowledge he had… It doesn’t mean they weren’t involved in any wrongdoing.”

She also fingered Mahama’s brother, Adams Mahama in the scandal.

“Adams Mahama couldn’t have acted alone… He worked with an organization.”

Meanwhile, the Office of the Special Prosecutor has closed the investigation, directing no criminal proceedings against anyone. Warrants and a Red Notice have been rescinded.
