Even an accident could not deter the Member of Parliament for Nanton, Alhaji Mohammed Hardi Tufeirua from voting to approve the government’s three revenue bills.

The legislator and Deputy Minister for Agriculture was involved in an accident on Friday, March 31, 2023 whiles on his way to parliament to take part in the proceedings of the day which involved a decision on the three crucial revenue bills of his government.

According to reports, the injured MP was transported in an ambulance to Parliament in order to be able to cast his vote in favor of the revenue bills.

He was later transported out of parliament to seek medical attention.

The actions of Alhaji Mohammed Hardi Tufeirua however paid off for the majority in Parliament as his side was able to approve the bills by a very tight vote of 137 to 136.
