A teacher was injured and another staff member was reportedly abducted after unrest broke out at Bawku Senior High School in the Upper East Region during the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
According to reports, some students went on a rampage and damaged school property after school authorities enforced examination regulations aimed at preventing malpractice during the examinations.
The disturbance is said to have escalated, resulting in the injury of a teacher. Another member of staff was also reportedly abducted amid the chaos, although details surrounding the incident remain unclear.
The extent of the damage caused to school property has not yet been officially disclosed.
Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and take appropriate action as efforts continue to restore calm at the school.
