Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has expressed his shock and disappointment over the Electoral Commission’s (EC) announcement of a shortfall in presidential and parliamentary ballot papers for five constituencies in the Volta Region.
“This is a new low from this EC…..whaaaaaat?” Dafeamekpor wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The affected constituencies are Keta, Ketu North, Ho Central, Hohoe, and Ho West.
According to the Electoral Commission, the shortfall will be printed by Acts Commercials.
The EC has invited representatives of all presidential candidates to observe the printing process, which is scheduled to take place today, November 29, 2024, at 10:00 am at the premises of the Acts Commercials Printing House in Accra.

Meanwhile, the founding president of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has expressed his distrust in the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ability to conduct a free and fair election.
He believes the shortage of ballots in the Volta Region is the “surreptitiously dangerous ploy yet to rig the elections”
