The highly successful 3-day FIFA Financial Governance Workshop came to a close in Accra, Ghana. The seminar, attended by representatives from 10 member associations worldwide, aimed to enhance financial governance, transparency, and accountability in football administration.
Christoph Suppiger, Head of Financial Governance Programme at FIFA, praised the Ghana Football Association for hosting the event. He emphasized FIFA’s commitment to conducting similar seminars to promote financial independence among its members.
“I’m delighted with the workshop’s success,” Suppiger said. “I hope participants gained valuable insights into achieving transparency and accountability in financial management.”

1. Effective resource allocation and management
2. Best practices in financial management aligned with FIFA’s standards
3. Strategies for improving financial transparency and accountability
The closing ceremony was attended by Ghanaian football legend Abedi Ayew, adding a touch of prestige to the event.
