Tipper Truck Crash Kills Pillion Rider in Krispol City

A pillion rider has died and another person has been critically injured in a late evening accident at Krispol City, Kasoa, on Saturday.

The 23-year-old victim, a final year student at the University of Ghana, was traveling with his brother to visit their sick mother at the ST Gregory Hospital in Buduburam when a tipper truck drove into them from behind at Krispol City Junction.

The brother, who was driving the motorcycle, sustained extensive injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

Eyewitnesses have called for urgent action to be taken to prevent further crashes at the spot, which is becoming an accident-prone zone due to faulty traffic lights and a lack of speed control measures.

The Assemblyman for Krispol City, Adam Habib, has also expressed concerns about the safety of the area and has urged authorities to take immediate action to address the issue.
