The District Chief Executive for Tolon, Hon. Braimah Seidu, has completed renovation works on the Tindang Hanafia Primary School following extensive damage caused by a rainstorm in the latter part of 2025.
The storm left portions of the school facility in a deplorable condition, creating an environment considered unsuitable for effective teaching and learning.
Following the intervention by the Tolon District Assembly under the leadership of the DCE, the affected infrastructure has been rehabilitated and restored to provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers.
The completion of the renovation is expected to improve academic activities at the school and address concerns over the condition of the facility following the storm damage.
Tindang Hanafia Primary School was originally constructed during the tenure of former Member of Parliament for the Tolon Constituency, Hon. Razak Umar, with funding support from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
In a related development, renovation works on Kangbagu Primary School have also been completed as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure within the Tolon District.
The interventions form part of measures by the District Assembly to rehabilitate deteriorating school facilities and provide improved conditions for teaching and learning across communities in the district.
