Parts of Trassaco and other communities in the Accra East Region will experience an eight-hour power outage on Sunday, August 30, 2026, as engineers work to fix a fault.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) said the emergency maintenance exercise will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Areas expected to be affected include parts of Trassaco, Saso and Sidalco, as well as Signature Apartments, Cassa Trassaco and Action Chapel.
The outage will also affect the Bank of Ghana warehouse, Tip Toe Lane, Odo Rice, parts of Caprice and surrounding areas.
ECG said the exercise is necessary to enable its engineers to work on the fault and improve service delivery.
The power distribution company apologised to customers in the affected areas for the disruption, saying it “regrets the inconvenience that will arise as a result of this exercise.”
