Police investigations into the killing of car dealer Mohammed Rahman at Tuba have revealed disturbing details about what the main suspect allegedly did after the shooting.
Investigators say Adams Adder Almeida remained inside Rahman’s home after allegedly shooting him dead and injuring his wife, Christiana.
According to the findings, Adams allegedly cooked rice and ate it in the house before taking a bath and leaving the area.
The investigation also suggests that the suspect later learned Christiana had survived the attack and was receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Police say Adams subsequently rented a room at Chorkor, allegedly with the intention of tracking down and killing Christiana.
However, investigators were able to trace him to the area and arrest him before he could allegedly carry out the plan.
The latest developments follow the emergence of CCTV footage showing Adams allegedly following Rahman and his wife while the couple went for a walk shortly before the attack.
The footage has since become an important part of the investigation as police work to establish the events leading up to the shooting and the suspect’s movements afterwards.
Rahman was killed in the attack, while his wife survived and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the murder and the alleged plan to target the surviving victim.
