Two nannies arrested at East Legon for giving babies sleeping pills

Two nannies at East Legon have been arrested for allegedly giving sleeping pills to babies in their care for more than seven months.

According to police, the women confessed that they gave the medication to help the children sleep, claiming the babies “did not like sleeping.” Investigators say the nannies administered the pills without the knowledge or consent of the children’s parents.

Parents reportedly became alarmed after noticing strange changes in their children’s behavior.

Police say the suspects are assisting with investigations and will face charges once the inquiry is complete.
