U/E: NDC youth protest leadership style of Garu MP

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth group in the Garu constituency of the Upper East Region has protested against what it described as discriminatory tactics by the Member of pParliament for the area, Dr Thomas Winsum Anaba.

According to them, Dr Thomas Anaba has not been balanced in the political management of the area.

At a press conference in Garu on Monday, June 2, 2025, the outraged NDC youth group cited numerous incidents, including the distribution of school feeding programme and reported attempts by the lawmaker to reappoint someone as the Garu District YEA director after one Thomas Tampuri Wennam was appointed few weeks ago and has resumed work.

The youth accuses the lawmaker of working with only those who supported him during the NDC primaries.

They, however, called on the bational and the Upper East regional executives of the NDC party to call Garu MP Dr Thomas Winsum Anabato order.

“We call on the National and regional executives of the party to call Dr Anaba to order to desist from running a parallel administration”.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive (MCE) for the area John Abugba Abaare has debunked the allegations by the group, and blamed the Garu constituency NDC executives for the misunderstanding.
