Vote for me to continue developmental projects – Hawa Koomson to constituents

Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson, says another term for her will ensure continuity in her developmental agenda for the Kasoa area.

She believes her performance is remarkable enough to attract votes in the upcoming elections.

Mavis Hawa Koomson is seeking re-election for a fourth consecutive term. Building on her successes in the 2012, 2016, and 2020 elections, she highlights her remarkable leadership through numerous infrastructural projects, aiming to continue her development agenda.

Roads

Currently, the Opeikuma Blue Kiosk to Apra road is under construction, the Akweley cross river road which links the Kasoa New Market has also seen great improvement while the Akweley-Bigman Town which links to the Obom road is also under construction including several others in other electoral areas.

Education

The Member of Parliament has provided a 12-unit classroom block for the Ichodes Basic School in Akweley, the Akweley Anglican Basic School also has a 12 unit classroom block completed with another 12 unit classroom block also under construction for same school. There are similar projects also at various stages of completion in areas such as CP, Gada, Jei River, Newtown and Iron City.

Health

The construction of a 100-bed capacity hospital which is part of government’s Agenda 111 is progressing steadily with a number of CHPS compounds and health centers also at various stages of completion.

Taking journalists to a tour of various project sites which include drainage facilities and a three storey building to serve as the Central East Regional Police Command with detached male and female cells, Mavis Hawa Koomson told Metro News that making Kasoa an obvious destination remains her topmost priority and shall remain fully committed to addressing the infrastructural needs of constituents.

With the 2024 elections approaching, she believes a vote for her is a vote for continuity and consolidation of her developmental agenda for the constituency.

Constituents Concern

Some constituents who spoke to Metro News expressed satisfaction but also cautioned against abandoning the projects that are under construction after the elections just as it happened to some projects that were completely abandoned after the 2020 elections and have still not been completed.
