The voter transfer exercise in Sagnarigu has been halted following a shooting incident on Saturday, June 8.
Security agencies in the Northern Region have taken control of the Sagnarigu Electoral Commission (EC) office to ensure peace and order in the area.
A meeting is currently underway between political parties, the EC, and security agencies to resolve the issues that led to the halt in the exercise.
The voter transfer exercise is expected to resume in Sagnarigu once the issues are resolved.
