Four people were injured in a violent clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Sagnarigu Electoral Commission (EC) office in Tamale on Saturday, June 8.
The chaos erupted during a voter transfer exercise, which was disrupted by gunshots, forcing officials to abandon the process.
The injured have been hospitalized, and tensions remain high in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, the violence began when NDC supporters accused the NPP of busing in deaf and dumb individuals from other constituencies to register in the Tamale North constituency.
