Addressing a recent health concern, President John Dramani Mahama spoke on the ongoing efforts to combat the cholera outbreak in the Western Region.
While he noted that the situation was improving, he urged citizens to continue practicing preventive measures to avoid further outbreaks.
“While the cholera outbreak is abating, we cannot afford to relax our efforts. We must remain vigilant in maintaining safe and hygienic conditions, particularly regarding the water we drink and the places we visit,” Mahama advised.
He urged local governments, health professionals, and citizens to work together to ensure safe drinking water and promote hygienic practices in the community. Mahama acknowledged the efforts of health workers in addressing the crisis and reassured citizens that the government was dedicated to tackling the root causes of the outbreak.
“We will ensure that public health remains a priority, and that we work toward a healthier, more resilient population,” he added, signaling continued support for public health initiatives in the region.
