A political communication analyst Dr Etse Sikanku has called on political parties to select vice presidential candidates who are responsive, competent and in touch with the feelings and sufferings of Ghanaians.
Dr Sikanku, a leading scholar in political communication and Vice Presidential studies said the office of the Vice President needs to be a transformative tool to bring realistic and practical change to the lives of everyday Ghanaians.
He said this in an interview after the 2nd vice presidential permutations forum which was held by Center for Public Discourse Analysis (CPDA) on the topic Choosing the Vice president: Qualities and the kind of vice president we need.
The forum saw in attendance the Programs Director, Reform initiatives, Dr. Nansata Yakubu , Senior news Editor and Head of political desk at Joy FM, Mr. Evans Mensah and Mr. Sammi Wiafe, Dean of the presidential press corps.
These guests who are experts in the topic made very significant contributions to the discussion at the forum.
