The Precursor Unit of the Western Regional Command on Friday November 1, 2024, conducted a site Audit and Inspection of precursor chemicals usage at the Chemsolv Limited, Takoradi.
The exercise was part of the Commission’s mandate to monitor the use of precursor chemicals by various companies to prevent diversion in accordance with Section 34 of the Narcotics Control Commission, Act 1019.
The team took wokers through the site audit and inspection procedures and ensured that the Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) were duly adhered.
The Precursor Unit also on Monday November 4, 2024 carried out similar activity at the Toyomo Industrial Supplies in Takoradi. The aim was to access and keep track of the delivery and usage of precursor chemicals by the company to prevent chemicals diversion.
