The Assin Central Constituency lawmaker says ‘Obi ‘Nyanime chart-topping song by Patience Nyarko remains his favourite gospel music.

Kennedy Agyapong says the lyrics of the classic inspirational danceable song bring nostalgia and it chronicles his journey from poverty to riches.

Speaking to Paul Adom Otchere on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana on Tuesday evening, the outspoken Assin Central MP said the success he’s chalked is miles away from his dream and imagination.

“I like this song because it reminds me of where I’m coming from, where I have gotten to, and where I’m going”

“Whatever is happening in my life I never even expected that this will happen. Somebody born in the village that village (actually, Wa) and brought to Assin Dompem going through hustling and everything in life and where I’m today I think it resonates with the lady (Patience Nyarko) that it is like a dream,” he said.

Although born and bred in a poor home and achieved success through hard work, the NPP Presidential hopeful listen attentively to the words of the song and he enjoys it.

“It reminds me of my youthful age, my background, and everything,” he stressed.
