WhatsApp introduces message editing feature allowing users to edit sent messages

WhatsApp, the popular messaging application, has implemented new changes that now enable users to edit their sent messages. However, this feature comes with a time limit of 15 minutes, applicable to both personal and group chats.

reports indicate that the editing option is already available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.23.10.13.

Notably, there will be no limit to the number of times a message can be edited within the given time frame.

It’s important to highlight that message editing can only be done from the device on which the message was originally sent and not from other synchronized devices. The edited message will be marked with the label “edited” within the conversation, clearly indicating that it has been modified from its original form.

To edit a text, users need to press and hold the message bubble, select the ‘Edit’ option from the pop-up menu, and make the desired changes.

Once edited, the modified text will be displayed in the conversation, reflecting the changes made by the sender.
