Winneba Prison gets 40 bags of cement for rehabilitation project

The Winneba Local Prison has received 40 bags of cement from Pastor Evans Kingsley and members of the Igbo Community in Winneba to support the construction of its PRINDBUZ Complex, as part of efforts to strengthen inmate rehabilitation and generate income for the Ghana Prisons Service.

The donation was made on Thursday, September 24, 2026, under the prison’s Think Prisons 360 Degrees Initiative, which seeks to support rehabilitation programmes while creating sustainable income-generating opportunities for the Service.

Receiving the items, the Acting Officer-in-Charge of the Winneba Local Prison, A.D.P. Emmanuel Adu Gandhi, expressed gratitude to Pastor Kingsley and members of the Igbo Community for their support.

He conveyed the appreciation of the Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service, officers and inmates, saying the contribution would support the ongoing development of the PRINDBUZ Complex and its objectives.
