Former President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs in Ghana through the establishment of a Women’s Bank.
During a recent address, Mahama outlined the bank’s mission to provide accessible financial support without collateral or interest, enabling women to grow their businesses.
“This initiative is designed to assist our mothers and sisters,” Mahama stated, highlighting that women can deposit their earnings into the Women’s Bank and access loans that can be repaid gradually.
The goal is to support 200,000 women annually, aiming for a total of one million beneficiaries over the next five years.
Mahama emphasized the importance of empowering women to foster economic growth and self-sufficiency.
“We want all of our mothers and sisters to have the opportunity to grow their businesses and empower themselves,” he said.
As the election date approaches, Mahama urged voters to remain focused and choose the party that prioritizes their well-being.
“On the 7th of December, please let us vote for the party that will come and make things better,” he concluded, reinforcing his commitment to uplifting women and driving positive change in the community.
