Head Coach of Kpando Heart of Lions, Fatawu Salifu, has praised his team for going above and beyond themselves to seal qualification back to the Ghana Premier League.
Kpando Heart of Lions earned promotion to next season’s Betpawa Premier League with six games to spare.
The club was relegated in the 2014/2015 season and will now make their return to the elite league after an eight-year absence.
In an exclusive interview with King Kaninja on Original TV’s Sports Punch on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, the excited head coach couldn’t hide his joy.
“I have no words to describe how happy I am with our qualification back to the Ghana Premier League”.
“Everything was clear from our preseason, we knew what we wanted to achieve by the end of the season and worked hard for it”.
“I was given just a season contract to help Heart of Lions qualify to the Premier League, subject to extension”.
“I would love to continue as head coach”.
“I would like to thank the people of Kpando, they have supported us since day one”.
Heart of Lions have won 19 games, drawn 2, and lost 4 of their last 25 matches, topping the zone three table with 59 points.
