The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended Christmas and New Year greetings to Ghanaians at home and abroad, urging citizens to reflect on the core values of the festive season while assuring them of its continued commitment to delivering on its governing mandate.
In a statement issued on December 24, 2025, the party said Christmas offers an opportunity for reflection on “the enduring values of compassion, sacrifice, peace, and gratitude that define the season.”
The NDC also used the occasion to mark one year since Ghanaians entrusted the party with the mandate to govern, acknowledging what it described as a solemn responsibility.
“This festive period also marks one year since Ghanaians entrusted the NDC with the mandate to govern. The party fully acknowledges this responsibility and remains resolute in translating its vision into tangible improvements in the lives of the people,” the statement said.
According to the party, the past year has seen deliberate efforts aimed at rebuilding trust in governance and stabilising the economy.
“Over the past year, the NDC government has taken deliberate steps to restore confidence in governance, stabilise the economy, and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth, while prioritising social protection and accountability,” it noted.
Looking ahead to 2026, the NDC reaffirmed its focus on economic recovery, youth employment and institutional strengthening.
“As the nation looks to the new year, the NDC reaffirms its unwavering commitment to delivering fully on its mandate, with focus on economic recovery, job creation for the youth, stronger public institutions, and improved living standards,” the statement added.
The party further assured Ghanaians of what it described as “continued responsiveness, discipline, and results-driven governance in the year ahead,” while wishing the nation “a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
