Yaw Preko relieved by Great Olympics after five months

Ghana Premier League side, Great Olympics, have sacked their head coach Yaw Preko after five months in charge of the club.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

The 48-year-old leaves with the Accra-based side tenth after Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to newly promoted side, Nsoatreman.

Preko lost six matches with same number of wins and five ending in stalemates after officially taking the job on a year deal in September 2022.

Former Olympics coach, Isaac Armah and ex-Ghana international, Richard Kingson have been handed the role temporarily.

Olympics take a trip on Sunday to face Bechem United in week 18 of Ghana’s top-flight.
