“You Are The One,” a new 120-episode primetime telenovela, makes its debut tonight at 8pm on Metro TV, promising audiences a gripping mix of love, betrayal, and second chances.
Metro TV and Original TV officially unveiled the series at a colourful launch on Friday, August 29, at the forecourt of Metro TV in Accra. Fans, invited guests, and media partners were treated to exclusive previews, cast interactions, and performances in an event hosted by Dessy.
The series will air Monday to Friday with a weekend omnibus. To build stronger engagement, Metro TV will run live chatroom sessions every Thursday at 3pm with Helen and special guests, while Original TV will host “Ɛyɛ Woaa,” an interactive discussion led by Ohenewaah, giving market traders and everyday viewers the chance to share their views on the unfolding drama.
Speaking at the launch, Metro TV’s Managing Director, Klaus vonBackustein, described You Are The One as a story that would strike a deep chord with viewers. He emphasized its emotional themes of love, secrets, and moral choices, adding that its relatable characters were set to become household names and strong platforms for brand sponsorships.
The plot follows Álvaro, who falls in love with Ángela during a business trip and marries her. But his greed and troubled past push him into a second marriage, shattering Ángela’s world. Determined to rebuild, Ángela moves to the city to continue her studies and face her past, setting the stage for a powerful drama of resilience and redemption.
Metro TV and Original TV promise viewers a mix of romance, suspense, and emotional twists that not only entertain but also reflect real-life decisions and their consequences.
