Youth group slams NPP government for abandoning UHAS Hohoe campus project

A youth group, Professional Forum, affiliated with the NDC, has condemned the NPP government for neglecting vital projects at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Hohoe campus, leaving them to deteriorate.

The group, frustrated by the government’s inaction, expressed their discontent through a press conference and protest, holding placards that read “JM will complete this abandoned project” and “Bawumia, Amewu, and NPP must go.”

According to Andy Agbi, spokesperson for the group, the project received initial funding from the NDC government but was abruptly halted without explanation after the NPP took office.

The group blamed Hohoe MP John Peter Amewu for the abandonment, claiming he has failed to raise education development concerns in Parliament.

Furthermore, the group criticized the government’s lack of commitment to education and socio-economic development in Hohoe, calling for stakeholders to unite and support the NDC in 2024 to prioritize completing the UHAS Hohoe permanent site.
