Youth voices matter in shaping Ghana’s future – Mahama

John Mahama, former President of Ghana and flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), says voices of the youth are crucial in shaping the future of the country.

Mahama noted during the maiden edition of “Mahama Conversations” on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Emphasizing the importance of youth engagement, Mahama encouraged young Ghanaians to share their thoughts, concerns, and aspirations directly with him via social media and email.

“The voices of the youth are crucial in shaping the future of our country,” Mahama said.

He expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with the younger generation to build a prosperous and equitable Ghana.

This initiative aims to foster open dialogue and address the pressing issues facing the nation as the December elections approach.

Mahama also congratulated new voters who registered in the recent exercise and criticized the government and the Electoral Commission for imposing geographical and economic restrictions that hindered many from registering.

He urged eligible voters to participate in the ongoing process to transfer votes and replace lost or damaged voter ID cards before the June 14th deadline.
