Dr. Kingsley Agyemang leads Abuakwa South in show of unity and strength.

The Abuakwa South Constituency, came to a standstill on the 17th of June, 2024. A day that was a sacred occasion of all Muslims, the Eid Ul Adha, which many would have used that to spend time with their families, yet, the Abuakwa South Constituency, led by the Venerable Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, decided to use that opportunity to serve the New Patriotic Party.

Prior to the Constituency Women’s conference, the constituency had held other conferences, ie, the communications, Youth and the Nasara conferences respectively. The Women’s conference was the climax of all, and I must say, it lived up to the expectation.

The parliamentary candidate of the constituency, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, who doubles as the registrar of the Ghana Scholarship secretariat, used the occasion to call for unity ahead of this year’s elections. He stressed that unity is the sine qua non to winning the political mandate of the Ghanaian electorate, saying, “We must work in unity, bury our differences, and rally uncontrolled support behind our flag bearer, the intelligent Dr. Bawumia “.

This being the first time a constituency has held such a conference, our workaholic constituency Women’s Organizer, Nhaana Serwaa Oti, was able to assemble most of the women who matter in the Elephant fraternity to grace the occasion. The Regional Women’s Organiser, Madam Obuor, together with the National Women’s Organizer, Madam Kate Gyamfua, took time out of their busy schedules to attend the program.

It must be noted, that the Abuakwa South Constituency, has taken its campaign to a higher level by emulating the retail campaign of our flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. The campaign team has been engaging in a door to door campaign which is yielding positive results across the constituency.

Speaking at the event, the constituency women’s organiser, charged the women to campaign vigorously for the party to break the eight year cycle. She was of the clear believe, that the party has a solid chance of breaking the eight because of the monumental projects the government has done.

I’m very clear in my mind’s eye, that if other constituencies are able to replicate that, the party will surely break the eight with a clear majority in parliament. Kudos to everyone who participated in this all important exercise, especially, our women’s organiser, Nhaana Serwaa Oti and our parliamentary candidate, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang.
