A/R: Truck runs over traders at Anloga Junction in Kumasi

There have been three confirmed deaths from the accident that occurred on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at around 9 p.m. at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi’s Angloga Junction.

This occurred at the Anloga Junction in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region, after a commercial long trailer collided with a few vendors.

Two individuals who were critically ill after the disturbing accident passed away at the referral center while seeking medical care, while one person died at the scene.

Three people lost their lives in an accident involving an articulated flatbed truck carrying hefty fertilizer bags.

Before members of the Ghana National Fire Service could free the survivors, the victim’s car, registered AS 1786-Y, had been trapped for more than an hour.

An eyewitness described the event as peculiar and regrettable. The accident happened when the long vehicle parked at Oforikrom ran over the traders without a person at the wheel.

Although the injured are being treated at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, the deceased, who are all men, have not yet been recognized. They are currently in the morgue.
