Agyeman-Manu and Kan-Dapaah will appear before Parliament today

Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, the Minister of Health, will address parliament today, Thursday, November 9, 2023, to discuss the reasons behind the shutdown of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital’s renal unit.

It is also anticipated that the Health Minister will outline the steps the government has taken to address the issues that caused it to close and the increase in kidney-related illness cases.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaboso, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, requested that the minister be summoned.

In addition, Akandoh insisted that the minister take up the matter of the GH¢380 authorized fee charge for renal care, which has not been reinstituted since the outpatient department’s closure in May.

On Monday, November 6, the unit reopened under the Health Minister’s directive.

Albert Kan-Dapaah, the minister of national security, is scheduled to testify before parliament today, November 9, 2023, to address inquiries concerning the military’s assaults on the people of Garu and Tempane in the Upper East Region.
