CAF appoints Emmanuel Dasoberi Admin Manager as Professional Football Manager

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Emmanuel Dasoberi, former Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko, as its Professional Football Manager.

The appointment takes effect on July 1, 2024.

Dasoberi, who has over 15 years of experience in football administration, will be responsible for overseeing the CAF Club Licensing System, Stadium Licensing, and League Development. He will also contribute to the Professional Football department’s programs and activities.

In an interview with GhanaSocernet, Dasoberi expressed his gratitude to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his blessings and advice. He also acknowledged the challenge ahead, saying, “I pray for the strength and wisdom to execute my tasks.”

Dasoberi’s appointment follows a rigorous selection process that attracted over 100 applicants.

His experience in football administration, including his role as Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, made him a standout candidate.

The appointment is seen as a significant development in CAF’s efforts to enhance professional football in Africa. Dasoberi’s expertise and experience are expected to contribute significantly to the growth of the sport on the continent.
