The Nkawkaw Magistrate Court has fined the Operations Manager of Multi-Credit Savings and Loans Ltd, Ishmael Ayivor Elikplem, GHC 13,000 for assaulting a female worker, Martha Adutwumwaa.
The court, presided over by His Worship Isaac Agyei, ordered that GHC 7,000 of the fine be paid to the victim as compensation, while GHC 6,000 would go to the court.
Elikplem was found guilty of beating Adutwumwaa for incurring a cost of GHC 90.
The victim has been asked to return to work, and she confirmed that she would resume tomorrow morning.
