Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala is poised to join Tanzanian giants Simba SC on a lucrative three-year deal, following the expiration of his contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Ghana.
The 24-year-old is expected to receive a significant sign-on fee of $130,000 and a monthly salary of $9,000.
Mukwala bid farewell to Kotoko on Monday, June 24, bringing an end to his tenure with the Porcupine Warriors since joining them in 2022.
During his time at Kotoko, Mukwala scored over 25 goals in 65 league appearances, emerging as a crucial player for the club.
He previously played for Ugandan side URA FC before joining Kotoko, where he made an immediate impact in his first season, scoring 11 goals.
Mukwala improved his performance in the recently concluded season, netting 14 goals, including a memorable brace against Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash.
