Former Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Julius Debrah has said that John Mahama is not the kind of man who would be readily persuaded to serve as a running mate.

This is in response to his name being mentioned by a number of interest organizations and people as a potential running mate for former President John in the 2024 presidential elections.

In a statement the former Chief of Staff dissociated himself from the sentiment expressed in the media by these groups and individuals.

“I have worked with President Mahama and continue to be a close confidante of his. I have garnered enough experience working with him to know that he makes the right calls at the right time. He is not the kind of person to be lobbied for such a position,” Mr. Debrah stated.
