Kudus reigns supreme at 2024 Ghana Football Awards night

Mohammed Kudus emerged victorious at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards, held on Saturday, June 29.

The West Ham and Black Stars sensation clinched the prestigious Footballer of the Year award, recognizing his exceptional performance in the English Premier League.

Kudus outshone formidable competitors, including Abdul Fatawu Issahaku (Leicester City), Osman Bukari (Crvena zvezda), and Inaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao), to claim the top honor.

Additionally, Kudus received the Goal of the Year award for his remarkable strike against Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League.

This achievement marks Kudus as the second Ghanaian footballer to win the Footballer of the Year award for two consecutive years.

Emmanuel Keyekeh, a Samartex player, was also recognized as the Home-Based Player of the Season for his crucial role in securing his team’s first Ghana Premier League title.
