Late Mfantseman MP Ekow Quansah Hayford owned up to robbers before his death – Eyewitness

Four years ago, the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Ekow Quansah Hayford, showed extraordinary bravery in the face of danger.

According to Wofa Yaw, a former NPP Constituency 1st Vice Chairman, Hayford owned up to the robbers who attacked their car on the Abeadze Dominase-Abeaze Duadzi-Mankessim road.

Hayford’s bravery unfortunately did not save him, as he was shot and killed by the robbers on October 9, 2020.

Wofa Yaw, who was in the same car with Hayford, tearfully recounted the incident. “Hon Ekow Quansah Hayford owned himself up to the gunmen,” he said.

“He didn’t hide, he didn’t run. He stood tall and faced them.”

Hayford’s bravery has left a lasting impact on his constituents, who remember him as a courageous leader who stood up for what was right, even in the face of danger.

Wofa Yaw told Metro TV at a short ceremony after the sudden demise of the mother of the late Mfantseman MP on Sunday, June 23.
